If your game is lagging, freezing, or crashing—especially when using modpacks like Peachy’s Pixel Place—you may need to give Minecraft more memory (RAM) to work with. Here's how!
Step 1: Open CurseForge Launcher 🚀
- Launch the CurseForge app.
- Make sure you’re in the Minecraft section.
Step 2: Open Settings ⚙️
- Click the gear icon (⚙️) in the lower-left corner of the launcher.
- In the left sidebar, choose “Minecraft” under the Game Specific section.
Step 3: Adjust RAM Settings 🔧
-
Scroll to the section labeled “Java Settings”.
-
Find the option: “Allocated Memory”.
-
Drag the slider or type in the amount of RAM you want to give Minecraft.
Recommended Settings:
- 4–6 GB for light/moderate modpacks
- 6–8 GB for heavier modpacks like Peachy’s Pixel Place
- Don't go above 10 GB unless you know what you're doing
🧠 Tip: Make sure your PC has enough available RAM! Don’t allocate all your system memory.
Step 4: Save & Relaunch 💾
- Once you’ve adjusted the slider, close the settings.
- Launch your modpack again—Minecraft should now run more smoothly!
